I told texh I had to be somewhere in 20 minutes and to please complete the estimate in vehicle or office. After 30 minutes he came upstairs and just showed me a total price ($6600 for basic furnace), other companies were $1000 cheaper. I then asked again to please just email me and I had to leave. I then called company and told then of my experience, owner called me back, and then told me it was my fault because I should have allowed for more time, and the techs are required to go over the estimates. When a customer says “I have to be somewhere in 20 minutes” and implies ‘I want you to leave my property’ a good company complies, the owner made it sound as the tech did nothing wrong, seemed like that they are trained to stay as long as possible, and try to get you to sign a contract before they leave your home. Stay away!! Go with a company that respects the customer not a company that tries to get you to buy something just to get them out of your home/rental property.

Once our technician arrived and began diagnosing the furnace, you advised him that you needed to leave shortly. He worked as efficiently as possible; however, proper diagnosis, documentation, and pricing — particularly when a home warranty upgrade option is involved — cannot be completed responsibly in just a few minutes. Our technicians are required to review findings and pricing with the customer to ensure transparency and avoid misunderstandings. We do not rush estimates, skip documentation, or leave without explaining what was found and what the available options are. That is part of doing the job correctly — not a sales tactic. Regarding pricing, furnace replacement costs vary significantly based on equipment, installation scope, code requirements, permits, and warranty terms. Comparing a single number without comparing what is actually included is not an apples-to-apples comparison. At no point was there any requirement, pressure, or expectation to sign a contract. You requested that the estimate be emailed, which is standard and exactly what would have occurred once documentation was completed. Any confusion related to on-screen acknowledgments stemmed from recent changes made by the home warranty provider’s software — not from our company. We respect our customers’ time. However, an arrival window is not the same as a total visit duration, and diagnostic work cannot be rushed or abbreviated to accommodate a conflicting appointment scheduled during that window. One customer’s schedule cannot override the time required to properly evaluate equipment and provide accurate information. We stand behind our technician, our process, and our professionalism. While our approach may not be the right fit for everyone, we will not compromise proper diagnostics, documentation, or ethical standards to rush a visit.
